The farm suffered tremendously during the summer of 2011. At this time, the farm rain yearly total is STILL over 18 inches in DEFICIT. The large majority of crops NEED to be containerized (planted in large, above ground planters to conserve water) for summer of 2012. To do so, a tremendous capital expense of approximately $35,000 is required. Please consider a donation to help defray this cost. I believe this innovative cultural practice will prove cost-effective in the first season, and will be adopted in the future by many small farms. All research data will be provided free to any interested organizations or persons. Donations in any amount are greatly appreciated. Also, please check out our new Kickstarter project when it debuts!

Cold Springs Farm produces quality heirloom, rare & even commercially extinct varieties of vegetables, fruit, and herbs. Located just north of Weatherford, TX, Cold Springs Farm entered the USDA Organic EQIP program in 2009. The farm is a pioneer in sustainable agriculture methods and is involved in many research projects.
